Patrick Hartsfield from Grayton State Park will talk about the importance of the Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse and the Dune Ecosystem as our first line of defense from storms. Learn about this endangered mouse and how biologists conduct live trapping and live tube monitoring for researching this tiny creature. Hear how local conservation efforts are reintroducing the beach mice to Grayton Beach and Deer Lake State Parks.
