Hazy Ray comes to Funky Blues Shack

The 5-piece-trombone-led-rock band brings an energy to the stage that few bands do. As for the sound, there are flashes of jazz, funk, blues and Latin all glued together with a healthy rock base. One moment might bring memories of Incubus’ good years while the next will take you Maroon 5’s “Songs about Jane”. The band will wear you out with fast paced rock charts & dance-able funky tunes and then drop a dark jazz ballad on a whim. Vocals bounce back and forth between Vedder and British Jazz/Pop Phenom, Jamie Cullum. Just when you think you’ve got them figured out, Hazy Ray will lay a perfect acapella 3 part harmony on you. The original material is just that, as are the arrangements of the covers they do play. Story after story is framed up by four fantastic soloists who, in their craziest moments, still seem to be working together. Hazy Ray will be rocking through the night as they have no shortage of material.

Hazy Ray enjoyed a 45 day summer our in 2015 through the Southeast supporting their latest EP release entitled “Linda”. The band is anxious to get on the road and back to their friends and fans along the Gulf Coast. Hazy Ray’s music is available for streaming on Spotify, Soundcloud, and Pandora. The first single from the upcoming Linda EP,“Gingerbread Man”, is available for streaming and as a free download via Hazy Ray’s Soundcloud and Reverbnation page.
