Destin Commons Halloween Haunt

Costume Contest and Trick or Treating

It’s going to be a frightfully fun time for the family Halloween at Destin Commons on October 25, from 4 to 7 pm. The eerie event will be full of kid’s creepy crafts, fantasy face painting, trick-or-treating, a costume contest for kids and dogs, and the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge’s blood-curdling Dark Haunted House attraction. Get creative and bring the kids and dogs, dressed in their Halloween bewitching best for the costume contest. Kids and dogs costume contest registration is at 4 pm. in Center Plaza, with the contest starting at 5 pm. Come dressed to impress and you might win a hauntingly awesome assortment of prizes. Besides the costume contest, there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids busy. Abrakadoodle will be on hand with fantasy face painting and creepy craft projects. Then, at 6 pm, kids can go trick-or-treating in a safe and friendly environment at the stores throughout Destin Commons. “Halloween at Destin Commons has been a many year annual tradition for my family,” commented Destin resident, Ericka Van Hoosear. “We’ve gone from bringing our first child here, to our now three children and our dog. The kids (and our dog) get dressed in their favorite Halloween characters and enjoy a fangtastic good time!” For further information, visit, or visit their Facebook page.
