This summer Heritage Park & Cultural Center is hosting a celebration of local artists.  Hands of the Artists:  Local Talent - Lots of Local Color will feature artists many Saturdays from May through September.

On May 27 at 6pm at the Indian Temple Mound Museum, the first artist in the series, Trudy Craine will be on hand to show her work.  Whether it is teaching, painting oils, watercolors, acrylics or pen and ink, Trudy Craine is exceptional.  Her latest portrait, Dennis Standing Bear Compos (grandson of Chief Henry Standing Bear) will be unveiled to the public for the first time that evening.

Other Saturday summer artists will include Bruce Burford (Powder Horns), John Jansen (Primitive Skills Artist), Mercedes Tomin (ceramics), Alice Knowles (Basket Making), Viking glass beads, Flintknapping and others.

Heritage Park & Cultural Center looks forward to seeing you on May 27. If you have any questions, call Michael or Gail at 833-9595.
