A Coastal Holiday

Bringing nature in during the holidays is a great way to create a warm coastal holiday home.  Often the unexpected is the most wonderful way to create that coastal element of design.  Who would have thought a piece of driftwood could be a beautiful piece of art, or a piece of glass that had been polished by the sand and saltwater.   A simple sand dollar hung with a ribbon pinned to the back of a hostess chair is a great way to give that coastal touch.

Shapes of the sea reflect many of the beloved holiday icons.  Mercury glass and burlap are wonderful elements to complement coastal holiday décor.  Vintage beach-colored glass float balls are perfect to use during the holidays to give that pop of color.  White-flocked trees, an old tradition coming back strong, are perfect to showcase the colors of the sea.  The possibilities are endless.  Find your inspiration from the beautiful area we live in.  Why not decorate the holidays to match our lifestyle.
